Purple Cat Vet


Purple Cat offers low-cost spay/neuter for cats at their Baldwin and Eau Claire sites. The clinic sees domesticated and feral/barn cats.

The shelter in Amery networks with a vet clinic to offer low-cost spay/neuter for cats and dogs.

Clark County Humane Society "FixaPet"


FixaPet in Neillsville offers low-cost spay/neuter for rabbits, cats, and dogs.

The shelter networks with vet clinics to offer low-cost spay/neuter for cats and "pit bulls" (American Staffordshire Terrier and Pit Bull Terrier breed dogs or mixes).

Temporary Foster Homes*


*The organizations listed below help provide foster homes for pet owners experiencing temporary hardships that make caring for their pets difficult or even impossible. These are not rehoming agencies; the goal is the reunification of pets and their owners.


Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet


Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pet is a nationwide organization coordinating temporary foster homes for service members' and veterans' pets.


Active service members on certain deployments and veterans experiencing specific medical issues and/or inpatient care may be eligible. Please see the website for detailed eligibility requirements.

Adopt a Barn Cat

The Eau Claire Community Humane Society has barn cats available for adoption. The barn cats are microchipped, vaccinated, and altered. As of 8/31/2024, the adoption fees are $15 for one cat or $25 for two.
